Corona active cases reached 1,967 in Punjab:
459 new patients in 24 hours, highest positivity rate in Mohali and Patiala; AAP government oblivious
The pace of corona has increased in Punjab. During the last 24 hours, 459 new patients were found in the state. After which the number of active cases of Corona has reached 1,967. During this period, the highest positivity rate has been reported in Mohali, Patiala and Bathinda.
The positivity rate of Punjab stood at 3.72%. Despite this, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab is oblivious. Despite making Chetan Singh Jodamajra the new Health Minister, the situation of Corona is not being reviewed. Neither the government has imposed any restrictions nor has any advisory been issued.
In the
last twenty four hours, the maximum number of 133 cases were found in Mohali. The positivity rate here was 17.57%. 59 cases were found in Jalandhar, 54 in Ludhiana. 43 cases were found in Patiala with a positivity rate of 10.39%. 29 cases were found in Bathinda but the positivity rate was 7.69%.
Punjab has the highest number of active cases in these 5 districts,
currently Mohali has the highest number of 521 active cases. Ludhiana is at number two with 268 active cases, Jalandhar with 254 active cases on the third, Bathinda on the fourth with 190 and Patiala with 159 active cases on the fifth.
62 On Life Saving Support
There are 62 patients in Punjab who have been put on life saving support. Of these, 56 have been kept on oxygen and 6 in the ICU. Since April 1, 57 people have died of corona.
